A tough challenge for legal and social work professionals, dealing with domestic violence and abuse in a newcomer culture with particular notions of masculinity and femininity … and it’s made even tougher when many of these undocumented newcomers have their own pressing reasons to minimize their contact with the law. This makes the Latino Coalition Against Domestic & Sexual Violence’s conference on “Working Together For ‘Una Vida sin Violencia’” especially timely. (more…)
