November 10 — Stephen Prothero’s Religious Literacy: What Every American Needs to Know - And Doesn’t
Discuss Stephen Prothero’s New York Times bestseller, Religious Literacy: What Every American Needs to Know … And Doesn’t, which won a 2007 Quill Book Award. Dr. Prothero will be lecturing the next Friday, get a head-start on preparing questions with which to test his religious literacy.

This book discussion will be led by Scott Seay, assistant Professor of the history of global Christianity at Christian Theological Seminary. His teaching and research focuses primarily on the history of Christianity in the United States in the colonial and early national periods. He is the author of two forthcoming books dealing with the relationship between religious faith and political issues in american history. He is an ordained minister in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). He is a graduate of Wabash College, and holds an m.div. from CTS and a Ph.d. from vanderbilt University.
