September 22 — An opportunity to participate in a pathbreaking “citizens’ foreign policy summit”

Right now there may be a rare window of opportunity for citizens “outside the beltway” to shape US foreign policy. Citizens for Global Solutions thinks so, and is setting up a summit for experts and non-experts to discuss the country’s main challenges, and top priorities for the next President.

When: September 22, 2007 8:00am - 4:30pm
Where: Kiwanis International Auditorium 3636 Woodview Trace Indianapolis, IN

People’s Foreign Policy will engage the Hoosier community in a lively conversation and bring new voices to the foreign policy debate. From terrorism to U.S. torture and interrogation policy, we need to find local solutions to the global problems that affect us all.

The first half of the day will focus on different foreign policy priorities and engage participants and panelists in a series of discussions. The second half will focus on local engagement and solutions to global issues. Participants will have a chance to define the foreign policy priorities for Indianapolis and develop a local plan of action.

All are welcome and encouraged to participate. From students to activists, we all have a stake in the world.
