How’d the Indianapolis International Film Festival go from a twinkling in Brian Owens’s eye to one of the major film festivals in North America … in just six years? Indianapolis Business-Art Networking Get-together will explain how.

the cultural speaker will be Orhan, Proprietor of the Bosphorus Istanbul Cafe. Orhan will talk about “Authentic Turkish Cuisine and Turkish Culture in Indianapolis.” The Bosphorus Istanbul Cafe’s luncheon special is $8.50. The luncheon menu includes both meat and vegetarian/ vegan dishes.
The mission of the Indianapolis International Film Festival (IIFF) is to present films that inform, enlighten, and educate the community by providing a vivid reflection of the rich cultural diversity of Indianapolis and the world beyond our doors. Entering its sixth year, the Indianapolis International Film Festival has expanded significantly, extending itself and taking root in the Indianapolis filmscape. IIFF has continued to see exceptional growth in number of films submitted as well as consistent year over year substantial growth in attendance. Priding itself on diverse programming from all over the world, IIFF has made its mark as a destination event for residents from Indiana and beyond.
IIFF Board Vice President, Kelli Safford, will be presenting the festival’s story of how a small volunteer organization handles such growth as well as presenting shared initiatives for effective outreach to prospective business and community organization partners. In addition, Kelli will be joined by Brian Owens, Executive Director and Founder of the Film Festival, and Dorothy Henckel, President of the Board.
