IndyBANG! links business professionals with arts & culture professionals at the personal level through educational and promotional activities such as luncheons, salons, lectures, conferences, hands-on training programs, social networking, tradeshows and an online web portal to member organization web sites as well as online archived video and A/V podcasts of speakers and online fund-raising for nonprofit organizations. And ethnic food. Their luncheons start with a gastro-cultural speaker: This month’s will be Satish Calcuttawala, Proprietor of the Udupi Cafe, who will talk about “Authentic Indian Vegetarian Cuisine and Indian Culture in Indianapolis.”

Chavers’ responsibilities encompass all aspects of Indy Hub’s operation – from fundraising to event management. She works one-on-one with non-profits, for profit companies, and other community organizations to encourage young professional involvement. She also works closely with the Indy Hub Board of Directors and Advisory Council to develop the strategic direction of the organization. Chavers graduated from DePauw University with a double major in Communication and Political Science. Her civic board involvement includes Caleb Mills Organization, Indiana Sports Corporation, Indianapolis Alumni Association of Kappa Kappa Gamma, and Junior League of Indianapolis. Chavers was honored as one of the Indianapolis Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 for 2008.
