May 23 — The Return to Indianapolis of Organist Alistair Reid
For five years Alistair Reed was assistant organist at Christ Church Cathedral. Today, as music director at Coventry Cathedral in England Reid is one of the best known organists in Europe, a frequent performer on BBC.

In addition to his usual mixture of classic and 20th century organ works, Reid will celebrate Memorial Day/Race Day weekend by playing Charles Ives’s brilliant “Variations on America.” (As a Brit, however, Reid will probably be singing to himself “God Save the Queen.”)
