Women’s health topics are commonplace in our daily news. Medical studies announce that certain behaviors increase the risk for certain diseases. Surveys reveal that a majority of women may be in good health, but they do not receive adequate levels of preventive care. As health care costs continue to grow, more women are delaying or going without proper medical care. How can we address these issues and facilitate the preservation of wellness and the prevention of illness in women? What are some of the important issues confronting research in women’s health? What can be done to shape policies that lead to more practical and effective healthcare? Through the presentations by our speakers, this seminar will examine how law and policy might be employed to improve the health of women in contemporary society.
Please RSVP to Susan Stinn at susan@sipr.org or 317-472-2053. There will be a charge of $10.00 for this event. Click here for more information on Sagamore’s schedule of Policy Roundtables and Conferences.
