April 4-5 — Crisis in Burma, impact in Indiana

This Weekend Workshops of the Indianapolis Peace Institute will address the history and background of Burma’s humanitarian crisis, as well as provide an opportunity to examine the impact of refugee resettlement in the Indianapolis community.

When: Friday April 4 6:00 PM to Saturday April 5 4:00 PM

Where: Indianapolis Peace Institute 1401 Central Ave. Indianapolis IN

The Indianapolis Peace Institute strives to offer educational programming to a variety of individuals. In addition to our academic programs, we offer a series of weekend workshops each year. The purpose of these immersive workshops is to: (1) provide participants with an opportunity to learn more about issues impacting our community, (2) to meet individuals affected by these issues, and (3) to understand the actions that they, the participants, can take to bring about change.

All workshops run from Friday evening until Saturday afternoon and are open to anyone interested in learning more about these issues. Advance registration is required. The fee for each workshop is $20, which includes meals. Below is a list of upcoming workshops. Please check back regularly — additional workshops will be designed for Spring. To register, or request information, please contact Kate Williams.
