February 28 — Film “The Iron Ladies of Liberia”
In early 2006, Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, the first female to be elected president of Liberia, was inaugurated and began appointing other influential women to leadership positions. In this intimate film, Daniel Junge and Siatta Scott Johnson document Johnson-Sirleaf’s first year in office, as she works to bring stability to a nation rocked by civil war.
