January 5 — Wounded Knee Film Series: The Ride to Wounded Knee

The Ride to Wounded Knee is the first event in the Eiteljorg Museum’s month-long exploration of the last armed conflict between the Dakota Sioux and the United States, which resulted in the deaths of more than 146 men, women and children in 1890. The Ride to Wounded Knee explores the event through a ceremonial reenactment, performed by descendants of survivors 100 years later.

Where: Eiteljorg Museum 500 West Washington St., Indianapolis, IN 46204

Free with regular admission to the museum or $5 to see the film only.
