Morning plenary session: Gov. Mitch Daniels and Butler University President Bobby Fong


Ten AM workshops run concurrently, one hour each, including:

  • Chinese, Taiwanese, and the Confucius Center at IUPUI

  • India and Sikhs
  • Latinos and Mexicans
  • Sagamore Institute demographic research on Indiana
  • Sagamore Institute research on educational concerns of immigrants
  • Multiethnic programs at Goshen college
  • Multiethnic issues with Honda investment in Greenburg
  • Entrepreneurial spirit of immigrants in Indiana

Lunch and speaker


Afternoon workshops, including:

  • Exodus Refugees and populations from Burma

  • African communities in Indiana
  • Native Americans
  • Sagamore Institute quantitative analysis of education and immigrants in workforce
  • Sagamore Institute future visions of education and immigrants
  • More entrepreneurial spirit of immigrants
