November 6 — Small Business Philanthropy: Giving back is good business

Wrote Aristotle: “To give away money is an easy matter and is within any man’s power. But to decide to whom to give it and how large, when, for what purpose and how, is neither in every man power nor an easy matter.” Discuss what small business owners think about this.

When: Tuesday November 6, 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.
Where: Center Stage Cafe 970 Ft. Wayne Ave. Indianapolis, IN 46208 317.917.2233

This Mosaic: An International Conversation Cafe topic was requested by several local small business owners and entrepreneurswho feel they don’t always have a lot of money to donate, but are just as compassionate and generous with what they do have as the anyone else. Often their passion, time and resources can make the kind of difference an agency, program or cause really needs. This conversation will offer some considerations and guidelines to help you decide how to give to the charity of your choice. This conversation will also introduce some programs, services, agencies or causes that may compliment your personal interests and values and give you options to get involved as you are able. Andrea Pactor, Women’s Philanthropy Institute on IUPUI campus and a representative from the United Way will be joining to conversation to talk about the philanthropic needs in Indianapolis.

Participation Fee: $5.00. Meals ordered from Menu. RSVP to Cindy Ball at cindyball@sbcglobal.net.
