November 2-3 — Understanding the conflict in Darfur
In this workshop, presenters will explore the complexities of the conflict in Darfur, moving beyond the media analysis of ethnic and religious conflict to delve into other contributing factors including climate change and oil drilling in south Sudan. Speakers will provide insight into the situation in Darfur and will explore the challenges that Sudanese refugees face in coming to the United States.
When: Friday November 2 6:00-9:00 PM; and Saturday November 3, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM
Where: Indianapolis Peace Institute; 1421 N. Central Ave.; Indianapolis
Cost: $20 (includes three meals)
