The 2007 documentary, “For the Bible Tells Me So,” explores these questions and chronicles the lives of five Christian families, each with a gay or lesbian child. See the film (part of the LGBT Film Festival) and participate in facilitated conversations that explore how to initiate dialogue within local congregations, social circles, and community organizations. Facilitators include Annette Gross, Indianapolis Chapter of Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays; Mary Hays, licensed mental health counselor; and Jim Higginbotham, professor, Earlham College School of Religion. Local LGBT organizations will share additional resources.
