March 21st — the next round of humanitarian speed dating!

read about the groups who presented on January 25If you have been kicking yourself for missing the humanitarian speed dating at the Athenaeum on January 25, lighten up on yourself! You have another chance to experience a dozen of Indy’s most innovative and most effective organizations devoted to changing the world. Wednesday March 21st you can expect the presentations to be even speedier, the networking to be even more intense, the socializing even more fun. If you did attend the first iteration of humanitarian speed dating, stop acting so smug. Come to the next round, and bring your friends. If you know a remarkable organization that would like to tell Indy what they do, why it matters, and how we can be part of their work — in 2½ minutes — tell us! This promises to be one of those events that people talk about for a long time, so don’t miss this one. We’ll expect to see you at the Athenaeum March 21, you should expect to have your world changed.

Indiana Genocide Prevention Summit

March 31st Indianapolis will host the first ever Indiana Genocide Prevention Summit. This one-day event will feature leading organizations and activists in the struggle to end genocide.  Topics of conversation include “Defining Genocide and Mass Atrocity Crimes Today, New Concepts for Genocide Prevention,” and “Local Activism and Genocide Prevention.” There will also be a discussion with the makers of the viral sensation “Kony 2012.”

Kilimanjaro Education Outreach

Kilimanjaro Education Outreach (KILEO) partners with local stakeholders in rural areas of Tanzania to improve quality of life by enhancing community-owned educational infrastructure, providing HIV prevention classes, and promoting volunteerism.
