February 13: Chinese Violin (Erhu) performance featuring Dr. Zhian Zhao

Dr. ZhiAn Zhao is an IUPUI Global Music Fellow and the director of the music department at the School of Music and Recording, Communication University of China. As a musician, Dr. Zhao is an excellent player and expert on Er Hu (a string-based chinese traditional instrument). On the academic side, Dr. Zhao has written a number of publications on the performance of chinese traditional musical instruments, and participated in several research projects related to multimedia-based chinese music appreciation.
