Music as the “Power of Light” at St. Joan of Arc

From traditional spirituals to modern choral compositions, this concert features luminescent choral singing in one of the city’s most exquisite settings. Join Encore Vocal Arts as we bring to light songs from the Underground Railroad, Aaron Copland’s depiction of creation, In the Begining, Whitacre’s Lux Aurumque, and other choral compositions of hope and new life.

When: Saturday, November 21, 8 p.m.
Where: St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church 4217 Central Avenue Indianapolis

Encore Vocal Arts is an auditioned chamber choir founded by Elise Marshall, as the Indianapolis Arts Chorale, in 1972 as an outreach project of Indianapolis Central College, now University of Indianapolis. From performing for 25 to 40 people, Encore has grown over the years to reach audiences numbering 400-500.
